Over the past weeks 6R have been studying Australian environments and in particular, national parks.
A part of a cooperative learning group Taylor Predebon focused on Kata Tjuta researching and learning about the climate, the land forms and their features. "Until this I hadn't heard of Kata Tjuta which is a rock foundation in the same national park as Uluru. I learnt a lot and it was fun."
With his group Harrison Clarke researched Mt Kosciusko National Park discovering information relating to the history, boundaries and mapping of the area," I learnt heaps and really enjoyed it."
Alice Flannigan was part of the group looking at the Great Barrier Reef. "I was surprised by how many different species of flora and fauna there were on the reef and so many of them are unique to that area."
Emily Tonks and her group researched Great Sandy National Park on Fraser Island. "We found lots of information and pictures, it was really interesting. I felt nervous at the beginning of the presentation but then it was good."
